Handing over a working shop.

It is a bigger ask than lending a flat, and we treat it that way. Here is everything that sits between a request and a key.

Before anyone can list
Registered business only
Registration number checked against the national register, and the trading address confirmed.
Photos matched to the address
We check the space in the photos is the space at the address before the listing appears.
Right to let others use it
Members confirm they own the space or hold a lease that permits temporary use.
Around every exchange
You approve every request
Requests arrive as a message with the member's profile, reviews and what they intend to do.
A written agreement each time
Dates, condition, liability and what happens if either side cancels. Both sign before keys move.
Address held until confirmed
Public listings show a neighbourhood circle. Codes unlock the day before you arrive.

If something goes wrong

1
Tell us the same day

Damage, access trouble or a space not as described. Photos help.

2
We contact both sides

A person, not a form. Usually within a few hours during an exchange.

3
The agreement decides

Liability follows the terms you both signed, not our opinion.

4
Mediation if needed

We sit between you until it is settled, and record the outcome.

What we do not cover

Being plain about the edges is part of being trustworthy.

We are not an insurer

Your own public liability and contents cover still applies. Check it extends to a guest using the space.

We do not hold a deposit

No money moves between members, so there is nothing to withhold. The agreement covers condition instead.

We do not vet your lease

You confirm you have the right to let someone use the space. If you are unsure, ask your landlord first.

Something happening right now?

During an exchange we answer within a few hours, seven days a week.
